William Sutherland - Director of Research - Business Services
Mr. Sutherland joined Boenning & Scattergood in September 2003 and covers the business services sector, with particular emphasis on consulting, outsourcing, IT services and human resource services.
Before joining Boenning & Scattergood, he was Director of Research for Commerce Capital Markets, and prior to that worked in the research departments of Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, Foley Mufson Howe & Company, Wheat First Butcher & Singer, Inc. and Dean Witter Reynolds. His research has been recognized by Reuters and Zach's Investment Research. Mr. Sutherland holds a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from Columbia University. He is a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research and of the Financial Analysts of Philadelphia.
Gregory Chodaczek - Healthcare - Medical Technology
Mr. Chodaczek joined Boenning & Scattergood in November 2008 and is currently a senior research analyst covering the medical technology sector. He has more than 13 years experience researching companies in the healthcare industry and its sub-sectors. Prior to joining Boenning & Scattergood, Mr. Chodaczek worked for Redstone Investment Management as a healthcare analyst where he generated actionable long and short ideas and performed continual fundamental analysis of the investment portfolio. Previous to Redstone, Mr. Chodaczek spent more than 7 years at Pilgrim Baxter & Associates / Liberty Ridge Capital where he was a portfolio manager and lead healthcare analyst. He earned a BS in Finance from Villanova University and his MS in Finance from Georgia State University.

Mr. O'Donnell joined Boenning & Scattergood in January 2008 as a senior research analyst covering the financial services sector. Mr. O’Donnell previously covered financial institutions at Cincinnati-based Financial Stocks, Inc. in support of the firm's private equity and hedge fund positions. Previous to this role, he served in the Research Department at Ryan Beck & Co., maintaining research coverage of small cap banks headquartered in the Northeast. Mr. O'Donnell received a BA from Franklin & Marshall College, and an MBA in finance from Rutgers University Graduate School of Management.

Michael Schmitz, CFA - Energy
Mr. Schmitz joined Boenning & Scattergood in April 2009 as a senior research analyst covering the energy sector. Prior to Boenning & Scattergood, he spent more than six years at Banc of America Securities, where he was an oil and gas exploration and production analyst and shared responsibility for forecasting crude oil and natural gas prices for the equity research department. Previously, he covered small- and mid-cap oil and gas exploration and production companies for SalomonSmithBarney and ING Barings Furman Selz. In 2004, The Wall Street Journal ranked Mr. Schmitz third best stock-picking analyst in the oil category in their 'Best on the Street' survey. Mr. Schmitz earned his BA with honors in political science and Spanish from Amherst College.
Matthew Schultheis, CFA - Financial Services
Mr. Schultheis joined Boenning & Scattergood, Inc. in July 2008 and covers the financial services sector. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and has considerable experience researching and analyzing companies in the financial services sector, specifically banks. Prior to Boenning & Scattergood, Inc. Mr. Schultheis worked for Ferris, Baker Watts, Inc. (FBW) from September 2003 through June 2008 as an analyst following banks, specialty finance companies and REITs. Before joining FBW, he spent time in various banking positions focusing on asset/liability management and strategic planning including mergers and acquisitions analysis. Mr. Schultheis earned his BA from Dickinson College.
